Earth Day at Agape Garden

04/20/2010

If you are looking for a fun, family-friendly and free way to celebrate Earth Day, check out Agape Garden Montessori School at 804 S. Purdum. On Saturday, April 24 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm this local preschool will be hosting a free Earth Day celebration for children one year old through fifth grade and their families.

Bring the kids and learn tips and tricks from certified Maser Gardeners. Interested in finding out how kitchen trash can make flowers and vegetables flourish? Stop by the composting table. Do you want to keep your garden thriving without increasing your water bill? Learn how to make a rain barrel so nature can do your watering for you.

Once you have learned how to better take care of our planet, let the kids play in jumpers or make a craft out of recycled materials. This Earth Day celebration is an amazing way for families to spend the day together learning, laughing and having fun. Did we mention it is also free? For additional information, contact Edna Smith at Agape Garden Montessori School 868-7250.
